there's a 60k one and a 30k one comming out in a couple years. • ZhongProductions on 03-Dec-08 Silly conspiracy theorists! The "big three" manufacture SUV's and Jeeps in such large numbers because that's what people want to drive! To those of you who own an Ipod...have you ever tried using it outside in temps. below 40? What happens to the battery? Until these idiot liberals construct an electric vehicle that can operate during the winter, let alone drive through the snow, I'm sticking with my 17/22mpg Chrysler LHS. Long live the big three! • c06031983 on 29-Nov-08 Good luck on that warranty • trismegis on 30-Nov-08 "Silly conspiracy theorists! The "big three" manufacture SUV's and Jeeps in such large numbers because that's what people want to drive!" That's what people WANTED to drive, before gas prices went up, the economy down and more and more people are waking up from ignorant denial and realize that we have to do something about carbon emission. Personally though, as a tech-geek, this is the ultimate dream car for me. I hope they also make some cheaper TeslaMotors sedans in the future too. • JossefFritzl on 01-Dec-08 some scientists say mining disposing and refining the materials for the tesla batteries actually pollutes more than efficient combustion engines over lifetime-bit like glass recycling-interesting but the numbers do not add up • tumadoireacht on 24-Nov-08 serbian • monchi40 on 20-Nov-08 this is new yugo :D • Chelle011 on 22-Nov-08 electric cars are the future make no mistake it is the only way we can save ourselves from the addiction to oil. hydrogen protypes are costing an excess of $500,000 to build these could feasibly be put together in different formats for the average american family at reasonable cost in a fairly short period of time hydrogen cars are at least 15 years off but dont get me wrong i still love muscle cars • lukescham on 19-Nov-08 why does everyone have to separate hydrogen cars from electric cars? a hydrogen fuel cell is pretty much like a battery, a way of storing the energy required to power the car. but your right. right now we no matter what chevy say about not having the technology to make the volt, we have Lithion Ion and even lead acid batteries that are currently available and mass produced. this car is just proof. one of the best looking cars that goes 120mph for 200+ miles on pure electricity. • th3muff1nman on 23-Nov-08 Lead Acid batteries are a horrible choice; they are good for a temporary solution, but they are dangerous, heavier, don't hold as long of a charge, take longer to charge, and completely suck balls. The roadster can go faster, it is regulated at 125 mph because of the transmission. There was a EV-1 that went 186 mph. • TormentedSinKrazed on 01-Dec-08 |
