The Timid Toreador (1940) - directed by Clampett & McCabe Length: 6:24
Description: Nice Porky Pig cartoon co-directed by Bob Clampett and Norman McCabe (Clampett's top animator in the late '30s). The bullfight idea may have come from Disney's "Ferdinand The Bull" and Clampett & McCabe also include a gag on Disney's Fantasia in this funny, imaginative cartoon, which may have possibly inspired Tex Avery's later "Senor Droopy" as well. Enjoy!
