This car isn't a "competitor" for the Roadster because the producer has committed to delivering only 25 vehicles worldwide. It goes 0-60mph in "less than 5 seconds," it costs ~$400,000, its top speed is 100mph, and it has one gear. By comparison, the Roadster costs ~$100,000, goes 0-60mph in "less than 4 seconds," will produce nearly 2,000 vehicles next year, has a top speed of 125mph, and has two gears. Competition? Not exactly.

Tesla only has one gear now (had to drop it due to transition problems) but yes, I definitely agree.
