I am absolutely certain that Maria would be one of the first to ban from her court (much as she adored adulation) any fan who used foul language when discussing her voice or her art. Noone whose mouth spews forth muck like a sewer has any business posting an opinion of any voice and certainly not of La Divina!

Who cares about any BBC list, they would put some mediocre British tenors over say Jan Peerce OR Tucker. If you like a tenor and he is American then thats who you like and who cares about Polls, Stefan Zucker put Corelli first and Bjorling 2nd and Jussi was second buy like only 7 votes and has been dead for 48 years!

Del Monaco is not included in the best 20 tenors on the BBC list made by critics. I don't agree with this though.

it is no wander because anglo saxon critics think that is only art - art of reproducing little black characters on paper, and for them emotions and drammatics means nothing. But you know and I and millions know that MDM is artist out of every definition and cathegory per se.
