Green Wheels: Tesla Motors Length: 3:20
Description: http://voom.tv/equatorhd/greenwheels
Featured in Time magazine's Best Inventions 2006, the Tesla Roadster is the latest in electric-powered transportation. This machine can go from zero to 60 in four seconds. It tops out at 130 mph. And it's so popular, the 2007 models completely sold out...in just four months. We'll investigate technology like the lithium-ion batteries making it possible to go 250 miles on a single charge, the software that makes the car safer and more secure and the durable motor that has only one moving part. Join us as the team behind the design of the hottest eco sports car around brings us inside the design lab. Title: Green Wheels: Tesla Motors

Wow.. I am a huge fan of Nicola Tesla...so good to see that he is not forgotten • breaulenny on 15-Nov-08 Wanted Tesla Car, new or used, also buy options and reservations. HELP ME!!! Thank you • massimova on 20-Jul-08 my $4000,00 Ev • TommeyLeeReed on 18-Jun-08 Maybe some of us should e-mail Sony Pictures (I think they're the ones who did 'Who Killed the Electric Car'). Probably to late to get the Roadster in "Quantum of Solace", though. 007DOTcom • MooseOfReason on 28-Mar-08 Definitively I am charmed with this car, but they should consider use batteries of polymer of lithium, this way the capacity of load would be very much major, in addition to place an electrical engine of major efficiency to compensate, Tesla Motors brings from 200 to 400 horsepowers over it would be ideal for the suggested price. Cheers • frohwrx on 05-Feb-08 Pure badass! I just that they could make one for about a quarter of the cost. but I understand that startup costs are huge for a project like this. I wish them HUGE successs. DOWN WITH BIG OIL! • turbogeoduck on 30-Jan-08 Even with a 200 mile charge range, I'd be all set. My work commute is 30 miles. Even better with solar panels. I'd love to have a car that charges up while sitting in the parking lot at work. • MultimediaJay on 05-Jan-08 Bingo. A secret agent guy using a really quiet car in a spy movie. =) • MultimediaJay on 05-Jan-08 Since it's Electric, it kind of does. ;) • MultimediaJay on 05-Jan-08 As the doco "Who Killed the Electric Car?" showed - we could and should all be driving electric vehicles by now. Henry Ford's model-T's were electric to begin with, but then some dude found oil in Texas and wanted a market for it. Big Oil still wants markets. Big Auto want cars with numerous moving parts that break down and need spare parts. Electric motors have 1 moving part, nearly 100% torque and are silent. Plus smell the roses. • ruckrover8 on 30-Dec-07 |
