What? I don't understand what you just said Bronco. Why would one dying brand buy another dying brand? And I am not sure if they legally can, it would become a monopoly. Then it would become the "Big 2" Ford would be put out of business within 3 years.

they're not trying to completely buy them out, just purchase the majority shares in the company so they pretty much have a final say in everything they do.
